Who’s behind the camera

I work with memory as both a subject and a method. Through abstraction, symbolism, mysticism, and metaphor, I construct surreal, emotionally charged worlds where the deeply personal becomes universal. Whether through photography, moving image, objects, or spatial narratives, I am interested in creating work that is felt before it is fully understood.

After studying Philosophy, Economics, and the Arts, I completed a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design (Fashion and Textiles) at the University of the Arts London and now study Creative Direction for Fashion at London College of Fashion. My interest has never been limited to clothing itself, but to the systems of meaning that surround it: image, narrative, identity, ritual, and culture.

Spoken languages :
Italian, French, English, Spanish, German.

People call me Sofi. I’m a Swiss-Italian image-maker and creator based in London. My practice is shaped by research, observation, and lived experience, drawing from philosophy, psychology, anthropology, and material culture to create images that invite reflection rather than provide answers.
